America: Here & Now Review
America: Here & Now

The latest album from the soft rock specialist duo of the seventies. "Here & Now" is a proof that the duo still haven't lost their strength yet.

Although they still try to maintain their original sound, there are many hints of the modern music influence in the album. "Always Love" and "Work to Do" are the obvious examples of the those influences. These songs sound almost like pop music in the present day. "Golden" and "Ride On" are fine country-rock songs. There are many highlights that clearly show the duo's strength such as "Chasin the Rainbow", "One Chance", and "This Time". They also use their hit-maker formula in "All I Think About Is You" and "Walk In the Woods", which sound like the re-write version of their seventies hits and nicely close the album. The album includes the bonus disc contains the live version of their hits (every tracks on "History" album) from the 2005 live concert.

This album shows that the band can keep up with the new trends, while maintaining their own style, and create strong records. It is a very fine album that will satisfied both hardcore fans and new generation listeners.
